• To maintain and manage a community centre for activities that will enhance the lives of all Alva residents and to assist them to live better, safer and more fulfilled lives, regardless of sexual orientation, religion, political views, or other opinions. • To provide a facility that will allow groups and organisations to propound opportunities for learning and practising skills of an educational, social and recreational nature that will encourage people to participate in and take up pastimes or pursuits not normally available to them that will be beneficial to their health and wellbeing therefore reducing social exclusion. • To work in partnership with local statutory, public and third sector agencies to address practical issues and encourage volunteering opportunities in cases of public emergency by providing a safe and friendly environment in which local people can meet, exchange information and receive help without distinction of sex or political, religious or other opinions
