Pachedu, which in the Shona dialect is defined as ‘amongst ourselves’, aims to contribute to and develop a society that actively promotes diversity, equality, tolerance and dignity for all by increasing the capacity of diverse minorities and other marginalised groups in the West of Scotland to be more visible and pro-active in shaping their communities. This will be achieved through a focus on the following deliverables: • Reduce isolation • Promote cultural diversity and equality of opportunity • Bridge generational and diverse cultural backgrounds • Enhance the capacity of minority ethnic communities to advance their health and socio-economic activities
