OWN IT's Employability Mentors work with young people in their final year of compulsory education for whom school is difficult and who are in danger of future long term unemployment. Personalised Work Experience placements are used to develop their self-esteem and to persuade them of the worth of continuing in their employment or going on to college. OWN IT's current success rate is ~75%.
