Purposes 4 The organisation's purposes are: The purposes of the SCIO are: 1. The advancement of health by promoting and supporting physical and mental wellbeing within the Caithness area. 2. The relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship, or other disadvantage. 3. The advancement of education by supporting educational opportunities and personal development for individuals and communities in Caithness. 4. The advancement of community development by encouraging community engagement, social inclusion, and cohesion. The SCIO shall further these purposes by providing funding and support to individuals in need, local charities, voluntary organisations, and community initiatives operating within Caithness, with the intention of delivering public benefit to the people and communities of the area.
