The organisation is established for charitable purposes only, and in particular, the objects are: 4.1 The relief of those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage through provision of an inclusive, accessible Nith Valley Day Centre facility for older people and disabled people residing in Upper Nithsdale and their carers. 4.2 To provide a range of inclusive recreational and support activities accessed at Nith Valley Day Centre that improve the condition of life of older people and disabled people who have need of this support by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage. 4.3 To promote, encourage, foster and maintain links between the wider community of Upper Nithsdale, agencies working in Upper Nithsdale and Nith Valley Day Centre service users to advance understanding of the needs of older people, disabled people. and their carers.
