For payment or application of the revenue of the Trust Fund or such portion thereof as the Trustees shall from time to time in their sole discretion think fit to or for (i) the benefit of any charitable, cultural, educational, religious or welfare funds, societies, organisations and schemes or funds, societies, organisations and schemes for the relief of poverty which have their domicile or carry on their work in Scotland or other parts of the United Kingdom (anyone or all of Such funds, societies, organisations and schemes being individually or collectively hereinafter referred to as 'charities') or (ii) the relief of poverty and assistance of socially inadequate persons in Scotland or other parts of the United Kingdom all as the Trustees shall in their sole discretion think fit and that in such shares and proportions and at such times as the Trustees shall in their sole discretion from time to time decide. And the Trustees shall not be bound to distribute the whole of the revenue of the Trust Fund arising in any one year during the course of that year but shall have an absolute discretion as to the proportion of the said revenue to be distributed during that year and the proportion to be carried forward for subsequent distribution as hereinafter provided.
