The Charity’s objects (“Objects”) are to promote community development and urban and rural regeneration for the benefit of the inhabitants of Millisle and surrounding area (the “area of benefit”), without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, disability, political, religious or other opinion, and in particular to: (1) maintain, improve or provide public amenities and facilities for amateur sport, recreation and other leisure-time occupation and otherwise improve the appearance of the area of benefit and the quality of life of its inhabitants; (2) relieve of those in need by reason of youth, age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage; (3) advance education, training, community capacity building and citizenship; (4) promote sustainable development for the benefit of the public and the local community by: (a) protecting and enhancing the natural and built environment; (b) promoting sustainable means of achieving economic growth and regeneration; (5) promote the arts, culture and heritage and raise awareness of local history.
