The Association is established to promote rural regeneration for the benefit of the youth, the aged and the inhabitants of Maydown and its environs of County Londonderry (hereinafter called the area of benefit) and to promote the protection and preservation of health within the area of benefit by associating with the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and the inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants and in particular: The provision of programmes in order to advance education and to promote the benefit of the beneficiaries and in particular to youth aged 6 - 18, parents and toddlers, senior citizens and those with disabilities.
