The protection and promotion of the good physical and mental health of pregnant women, new parents and young children by (a) promoting and carrying out research for the public benefit and publishing or otherwise disseminating the useful results of such research (b) increasing awareness and understanding of the needs of pregnant women, new parents and young children amongst health professionals, service providers and the public, in particular by the provision of guidance and training materials 2. The promotion of equality for the public benefit by providing information advocacy and support services in particular in relation to the entitlements of pregnant women and new parents
