(a) (i) the relief of persons suffering from Macular disease and the promotion of research on the eye and brain with particular emphasis on the prevention and treatment of blindness and visually disabling conditions and to disseminate the results of such research. (ii) the advancement of education of the public concerning Macular disease, its causes and treatment. (iii) To raise funds to enable the above two aims to be implemented. (iv) To promote the relief of suffering and to further medical science by carrying out research on the eye and brain with particular emphasis on the prevention and treatment of blindness and visually disabling conditions, and to disseminate the results of such research and new developments in the field through seminars, courses and conferences.
