Purposes 4 The organisation's purposes are: 4.1 The advancement of religion through the promotion of Christian values and doctrines as outlined in clause 5. 4.2 To promote the prevention or relief of poverty by addressing social and economic deprivation in highly deprived communities through targeted programmes and events as described in clause 5. 4.3 The advancement of citizenship and community development through promotion of civic responsibility and volunteering by organising enlightenment and educational activities as described in clause 5. 4.4 The relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability financial hardship or other disadvantage by provision of food bank services, free skills development advice service and as described in clause 5. Powers 5 The organisation has power to do anything which is calculated to further its purposes or is conducive or incidental to doing so. These will include. 5.1 Create and deliver holistic programmes and activities for the advancement of Christianity to address the spiritual, emotional, mental and physical needs of the community. 5.2 Developing programmes and activities for the promotion of a. civic responsibility and volunteering b. urban regeneration in the communities where the organisation operates c. the voluntary sector d. social inclusivity 5.3 Develop and deliver programmes to address social and economic deprivation in highly deprived communities. These will include. a. provision of food bank services to those in hardship difficulties b. provision of basic essentials to families with young children c. provision of free skills development advisory service d. provision of poverty alleviation programmes such as Christians Against Poverty (CAP). 5.4 Creating an environment for dialogue, social wellbeing and reconciliation of people of all races, generation and social status, through. a. the promotion of Christian principles and values b. organisation of community fun and activity events or programmes 5.5 Carrying out charitable activities with a strong emphasis on developing the mind through learning and positive social interaction.
