4.1 The organisation's purposes are: 4.1.1 to advance education on and raise awareness of type 1 diabetes by providing information, training and guidance by hosting events, including in partnership with other organisations, in order to: 4.1.1.1 to educate the public on the issues relating to type 1 diabetes. 4.1.1.2 to promote understanding of type 1 diabetes and of the support available to those with experience of type 1 diabetes. and 4.1.1.3 to promote understanding and improvement of the rights of those with experience of type 1 diabetes to combat prejudice towards individuals with such experience. 4.1.2 to advance health by promoting support and providing services to those with experience of type 1 diabetes and provide a community base to share experiences. and 4.1.3 to relieve those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage by hosting events, developing support services and providing those in need with access to support, including but not limited to, those with experience of type 1 diabetes and associated mental health issues by supporting newly diagnosed individuals and families
