The organisation is established exclusively for charitable purposes within the meaning of section 7 of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005, namely: • To advance education by promoting research, training, and dissemination of knowledge in the fields of science, technology, and innovation. • To advance science by conducting and supporting research, publishing useful results, and fostering collaboration. • To advance citizenship and community development by supporting innovation, knowledge exchange, and skills development for the benefit of society. • To promote public understanding and engagement with research, technology, and innovation. These purposes are for the benefit of the public in Scotland and elsewhere.
