About Live Through Music
(a) To advance education through the provision of access to musical instruments, music tuition, workshops, group learning and performance opportunities, particularly for children and young people who may otherwise face financial, social or other barriers to participation in music. (b) To advance the arts, heritage and culture by promoting participation in, appreciation of and engagement with music, and by creating opportunities for people to develop musical skills, creativity and confidence. (c) To relieve the needs of people who are disadvantaged by reason of disability, additional support needs, age, financial hardship or other circumstances, through accessible and inclusive musical activities, including participatory and sensory music experiences. (d) To advance public participation in the arts and promote community development through music-based activities which encourage social inclusion, community participation and opportunities for people of different ages and backgrounds to make and experience music together. (e) To work with schools, community organisations, charities and other appropriate bodies to widen access to music and reduce financial, social and practical barriers to participation.
