About Lennoxlove Trust

1. To promote and secure the permanent preservation and upkeep for the benefit of the public generally the historic house known as Lennoxlove, Haddington, in the County of East Lothian being a building included in the list of buildings of special architectural or historic interest compiled by the Secretary of State for Scotland under the provisions of Section 52 of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1972 together with such contents as are displayed in that part of the said building to which tbe public has access, and together with the garden grounds immediately adjacent thereto and the fittings and fixtures in and upon the said building and others. 2. Towards the preservation and upkeep for the benefit of the public generally of any other building listed as aforesaid as being of special architectural or historic interest so far as the purpose of such application of the Trust Fund shall be charitable in its nature. 3. For such other charitable purposes and to such other charitable bodies associations or institutions (including without prejudice to the foregoing generality The National Trust for Scotland) as the Trustees shall from time to time in their absolute discretion determine. and 4. To do all such lawful acts or things as are incidental to the attainment of the primary objects of this trust and so far as may be necessary or desirable to do such acts or things in collaboration with any person body institution authority or otherwise.
