The Organisation has been formed to benefit the community of coastal rowers in any participating area. 3.1 The advancement of public participation in sport through, a. The promotion of coastal rowing within the Community as a healthy activity, which can be done safely by people of all ages at a level suited to their competence, experience and state of fitness and which in addition provides unique opportunities to be close to nature and wildlife. b. Promoting and supporting the building and use of coastal rowing boats within the Community. c. Stimulating healthy competition by means of races, regattas or other organised events and encouraging wider community engagement and social contact. 3.2 The advancement of education through: a. The fostering of close relationships between the builders of boats and equipment and rowers, so that there is a better understanding of skills and craftsmanship, design and materials. b. The encouragement of its members to adopt, to share and to apply best practice on health and safety on the local coastline and all coastal waters based on local conditions, and to take personal responsibility for its application.
