5 The objects of the organisation are: - (a) The advancement of education and awareness of local tangible and intangible cultural heritage: gathering, managing and promoting information about the archaeology and cultural heritage of the local area. bringing together groups and individual enthusiasts and developing a sense of place, which can be shared and valued. (b) The organisation of recreational activity which enhances personal and community wellbeing: encouraging participation in physical and social activities which can reduce the impact of issues such as poor health and social isolation, therefore improving the conditions of life for those for whom the activities are intended.
