The object of the charity is to advance educational knowledge in the field of Social Anthropology. The charity will seek to advance this objective by offering grants or awards on an annual basis to Social Anthropology students at the University of St Andrews in the area of fieldwork or research. It will also make grants on a periodic basis to members of staff and postgraduates in the Social Anthropology Department at the University of St Andrews to assist in workshops and conferences relating to the discipline.
