Knockavoe Families and School Together (FAST) is an organisation that supports parents/carers and children with special needs, who attend Knockavoe school, Strabane. We facilitate courses, workshops and peer support groups that provide, education, information and support on issues associated with caring for a child with special needs. We work in partnership with school staff, community agencies and medical professionals to advance and enhance parents’ education and wellbeing to enable them support their children to reach their maximum potential. We provide therapies/outings for the children and their families in order to create bonds and friendships which will minimise any feeling of isolation or seclusion.
