The organisation's purposes are: 4.1 To advance public participation in sport by providing training for schools and community groups. 4.2 To provide recreational facilities, or organise recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended by encouraging people to take up pursuits that will be beneficial to their health and wellbeing and by providing opportunities for learning and practising skills. 4.3 To advance education by providing training in marine sports to internationally-recognised standards.
