The Association is established to :- Relieve poverty, sickness, assist the aged and to promote benefit to all of the inhabitants of the Islandmagee and district area of Co. Antrim and its environs (hereinafter described as ‘the area of benefit) without distinction of age, sex, race, political, religious or other opinion, by associating the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education, and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants, The prevention or relief of poverty,The advancement of health or the saving of lives,The advancement of citizenship or community development
