4 (a) The company's object is to advance citizenship by supporting the leadership and organisation development of charitable and other voluntary organisations. (b) This article shall be interpreted as if it incorporated an over-riding qualification to the effect that, in any case in which an activity permitted under this article is in its nature capable of being carried on for a purpose which is not a charitable purpose, the powers of the company shall be deemed to be limited to the carrying on of such activity in such manner as will not prejudice the charitable status of the company.
