3.1. The objects of the CIO are to relieve the needs of persons suffering from Guillain-Barre syndrome and associated inflammatory neuropathies, their families and carers in particular but not exclusively by: a. The provision of information, non-medical advice and other assistance. b. The promotion of research into the causes, prevention and treatment of Guillain-Barre syndrome and associated inflammatory neuropathies. and c. Advancing the awareness of the public and of the medical professions concerning Guillain-Barre syndrome and associated inflammatory neuropathies, their causes, prevention and treatment.
