The relief of those in need by reason of ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage Through Developing opportunities so that people with mental health issues in Dumfries and Galloway are able to live as independent and fulfilled lives as possible and remain within their communities Developing person centred services for people affected by mental health issues and their families, parents, carers and practitioners who support them Promoting awareness and understanding of mental health and wellbeing and how it affects individuals and their families and carers Providing information and advice to people affected by mental health issues and their families, carers and practitioners who support them Supporting the delivery aspects of national and regional strategies as they relate to mental health issues in partnership with other organisations statutory and non statutory and individuals and businesses as required Working and liaising with other organisations statutory and non-statutory to further the purposes of local partnerships as they relate to individuals with mental health issues.
