4 The organisation's purposes are: 4.1 to advance the education and social development of children with the emphasis on the play experience, so that they take a constructive place in the community and also to advance the education of their parents and other appropriate persons. 4.2 to provide facilities for the benefit of all residents of Gullane postal district in the interest of social welfare for recreation and leisure time activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the community without discrimination. 4.3 to promote any other community-based activity which the Members shall consider may improve the conditions of life for the community and/or promote community participation.
