The objects of the G.S.C.O are: To encourage musicians to develop their involvement in music and playing skills in a social and supportive environment by: • organising rehearsals in orchestral and instrumental sections. • organising performances, including free community concerts. • arranging coaching in sectional rehearsals where possible. 2.2. The G.S.C.O. aims to perform a number of public concerts each year. 2.2 The charitable purposes are: • The advancement of musical education through participation in music and the public performance of music • To encourage social integration among older people To entertain community groups • To engage in other charitable activities aligned to and corresponding with the above aims and objectives.
