The organisation's purposes (to be exercised following the principles of sustainable development where sustainable development means development which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs) are: 4.1 to own, manage, let and promote the use of land, buildings, fixtures, fittings and equipment ('Facilities') for the provision of sporting and other community facilities primarily for the public benefit of those residing within the Garioch area of Aberdeenshire (including without limitation the parishes of Bourtie, Chapel of Garioch, Culsalmond, Daviot, Insch, Inverurie, Keithhall, Kemnay, Kintore, Leslie, Monymusk, Old Meldrum, Dyne, Premnay and Rayne) ('Garioch Area') with the aim of advancing public participation in sport. 4.2 to own, manage, let and promote the use of the Facilities in the interest of social welfare, with the object of improving the life conditions primarily of people residing within the Garioch Area. 4.3 to procure that the Facilities will be available to members of the public at large. and 4.4 to apply for charitable, trust, public and other funding to further the purposes set out at clauses 4.1 - 4.3 (inclusive)
