The Association is established to relieve poverty, sickness and the aged and to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Carnlough and Glenarm and surrounding area (hereinafter called the “area of benefit”) without distinction of age, gender, sexuality, nationality, ethnic origin, political or religious opinion, by associating the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and the inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants and in particular: to manage and maintain a community centre at Croft Road, Carnlough, known as the Glenlough Centre, for activities promoted by the Association.
