4.1 The advancement of health through the promotion, fostering and development of the traditional and wholly amateur indigenous Scottish sport of shinty within Glasgow and the surrounding communities 4.2 The advancement of public participation in sport, specifically Shinty, seeking to participate and attain success at the highest level of both men's and women's national shinty competition whilst promoting the ongoing development of the sport at youth level, benefiting members and the wider community .
