The objects of the group shall be to promote the benefit of the inhabitants, and in particular lone parents and their children, in the designated area and its environs without distinction of political, religious or other opinions by associating the local authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare with the object of improving the conditions of life of the said lone parents and their children
