4. The organisation's purposes are: 4.1 Give Blood 4 Good- Donating for a good cause 4.1.1 Improving awareness and education surrounding blood donation. 4.1.2 Sharing stories of donors and recipients. 4.1.3 Improving the accessibility and awareness of donor centres across the UK. 4.2 Give Blood 4 Good- Regular donation 4.2.1 Creating a culture in which regular donation becomes part of people's lives. 4.2.2 Encouraging early donation habits by directing education initiatives towards young adults. 4.2.3 Encouraging young adults to donate in groups, bringing along people who have never donated before. 4.2.4 Foster a fun approach and encourage healthy competition to remove the mystique and fear often associated with blood donation. We aim to encourage all eligible people to donate. This means focusing on creating a culture that inspires the younger generation to donate and to continue to do so until they are no longer able. A staggering 81% of 18-24 year olds have never donated blood, with 35% of this age group admitting that they are scared to donate . Targeting the younger generation is important to Give Blood 4 Good because we feel if we can encourage blood donation to become a regular part of people's lives from a young age then we can increase donor participation levels long-term.
