4. The company's objects are : The advancement of citizenship and community development in order to safeguard and promote the interests of tenants and residents associations within Glenrothes New Town, Leslie, Markinch, Milton of Balgonie, Coaltown of Balgonie, Star of Markinch, and Acchmuir Bridge (The operating Area) on matters concerning housing, environment, living conditions, quality of life, community facilities and services in a common effort to enhance education and to provide facilities in the interest of social welfare with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants. In furtherance to this object, the Federation Board shall establish, maintain and manage GARF for activities promoted by the Federation and its constituent members. The company's objects are restricted to those set out in article 4 (but subject to article 5).
