The aims and objectives of the Leisure Group shall be to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Dunkeld & Birnam District by associating the local and statutory authorities, voluntary organisation and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and provide, or assist in the provision of, facilities for recreation and other leisure time occupation, in the interests of social welfare, so that the conditions of life of the inhabitants may be improved
