2 annual Doctor McClure Musical Competitions are held, open to pupils of schools in the area of Wellington, Telford, with an Award and cash prizes to be used for the promotion of the musical interests of the winner. For the 2011 Competitions a First prize and Runner up prize were awarded in each of the Open competition and the Under 16 Competition.
