To relieve the needs of people with dementia (and/or similar or associated conditions), and their family members and/or other people caring for them, by: (a) organising café events and other gatherings which provide a safe, fully accessible, friendly, stimulating environment for those living with dementia (and/or similar or associated conditions) and those caring for them to gain access to support, advice and information, and to engage in activities which further their physical and mental wellbeing and/or help to address social exclusion. (b) working in collaboration with national, regional, local and community authorities, agencies and organisations to improve the quality, efficiency and coordination of care and support for people with dementia (and/or similar or associated conditions) and those caring for them, including measures to raise awareness of the services and support which may be available and/or to enhance or supplement such services and support. and (c) supporting public research, public awareness, and measures to tackle stigma and challenge adverse perceptions regarding dementia (and/or similar or associated conditions). and in particular by contributing to the evidence base demonstrating the value of using people's lived experiences to shape commissioning, policy, research and the delivery of care and support for people with dementia (and/or similar or associated conditions) and those caring for them.
