4 The organisation's purposes are: a) To enrich people's lives through cello music, whether they be players of any age or those who enjoy listening to music. b) to provide a stimulating and supportive environment for young cellists aiming at or entering the music profession to develop c) To offer an annual award to a gifted young cellist with an opportunity to perform a professional level concert. d) To encourage anyone who is learning cello. e) To provide a series of top-level concerts and attract audiences from the local area while stimulating extra tourism to the area.
