2. Objects The objects of the Singers, a non-profit-making organisation, shall be to advance the education of the public by promoting a knowledge and understanding of music and in particular choral music and in furtherance thereof - (a) to involve interested members of the community in all age groups in performance of choral music, open to all and advertised publicly. (b) to participate in and encourage the performance in and around Dalkeith of vocal and instrumental music, open to all and advertised publicly. (c) to encourage and stimulate the musical education of the young by recruiting and training children's choirs for participation in musical concerts open to all and advertised publicly. (d) to raise funds for the benefit of all manner of legally recognised charities by collections at concerts etc.
