Money from investments and land rental is disbursed within the parish of grainthorpe. Recipients are elderly people and widows at christmas; the parents of children transferring at 11 to secondary school; and new mothers. On occasion to people who are sick or disabled, and grants are made to the village school, to individual scholars in need and to village projects where applicable.
