(1) The object of the CIO is the advancement of the Roman Catholic religion through the religious and other charitable work of the Congregation as the Trustees with the approval of the Provincial Superior shall from time to time think fit. (2) Nothing in this constitution shall authorise an application of the property of the CIO for purposes which are not charitable in accordance with section 7 of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 ('2005 Act').
