The objects of the Panel are to meet the needs of disabled persons in Central Aberdeenshire through the promotion of access to all public buildings, areas and facilities in the district, in association with statutory, voluntary and other agencies. In furtherance thereof, but not otherwise, the Panel shall seek to work towards the removal of physical, environmental, attitudinal and organisational barriers to achieve 'Access for All in Aberdeenshire'. To be led by a majority of people with disabilities. To develop the skills of the panel members to be able to participate confidently and work as equal partners, with Aberdeenshire Council Planning Department representatives and other relevant professionals in the Central Access Panel area.
