The purposes of the SCIO are to promote the advancement of education, health and citizenship of the pupils attending and living in the catchment area of the Castlebrae Community High School. The SCIO will also provide relief of those in need as a result of financial hardship. The purposes will be achieved through the following, which list is not exclusive. (i) provision of funding for school breakfast clubs. (ii) grants to pupils to attend courses to learn new skills. (iii) grants to pupils to purchase clothes for interview. and (iv) the provision of mental health staff to assist the children with their education and home life.
