The Association is established to advance education and provide for and assist in the promotion, maintenance, improvement and advancement of education and in particular to generate interest in, promote, encourage and increase the appreciation and understanding of the public (hereinafter called "the beneficiaries") in the performing arts in Northern Ireland (hereinafter called "the area of benefit") without distinction of age, gender, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, ethnic identity, political or religious opinion by associating the statutory authorities, community and voluntary organisations and the inhabitants in a common effort to advance education, and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants and in particular: a) to foster an awareness and knowledge of local Performance Art for the benefit of the general public. b) the provision of facilities for the purposes of making recordings/documentation and archiving, providing lessons, training and performance opportunities for the beneficiaries in the area of benefit in an effort to promote and develop artistic talent.
