4 The SCIO has been formed to benefit principally the community of Banff and its immediate neighbourhood by associating with local authorities, voluntary youth and adult organisation and residents in a common effort to do advance the following: a. The advancement of citizenship or community development. b. The advancement of arts, heritage, culture, learning. c. the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities. But only to the extent that the above purposes are consistent with furthering the achievement of sustainable development.
