The organisation?s purposes are: 1.Prevention or relief of poverty ? 1.1 By annually renewing our application to be a Registered Tenants Organisation with the local authority thus being closely involved in decision making regarding our Social Housing residents. 1.2 By providing facilities for a weekly Work Club to help all residents within the 3 villages to find and apply for employment. We also provide volunteers to assist with IT support. 2 Advancement of education - 2.1 To assist our non-English speaking residents we make our community hall available for weekly English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) class. We have local residents trained in delivering these classes as needed. 2.2 We are now running an Adult Literacy class to help local residents improve their abilities in reading and form filling etc. These classes are run by local volunteers trained to help others. 2.3 We provide the facilities of our community hall for the running of annual classes in basic First Aid, Child Protection and Activity Training. Trained volunteers help as needed. 3. Provision of leisure facilities - 3.1 Through the management and running of our hall - the Community Pavilion. 3.2 Engaging in community led projects for developing leisure facilities within the boundaries of our community.
