Away from the Western Front undertakes a range of grant funded activities in the origins, events and legacy of the First World War, particularly in relation to campaigns fought by the British in battlefields such as Salonika, Gallipoli, Italy, Africa and Middle East regions including Mesopotamia, Egypt and Palestine and to ensure that all those who fought in those campaigns are not forgotten.
