2. The Trustees shall hold and apply the Trust Estate as they in their absolute discretion shall think fit for the following objects and purposes, that is to say:- (a) To apply the Trust Estate in perpetuating the memory of Allan Glen through the dissemination, propagation and carrying into effect of his ideas and ideals as these related to the provision of wide-ranging secondary and tertiary education with a scientific and technological bias in such manner as is of public utility as the Trustees may see fit. The Trustees shall, so long as Allan Glen's School Club's members who are fully paid up (excluding members with life membership) number above 20, at reasonable intervals consult and give due consideration to any views expressed by the Committee or, if so advised, resolution of the members, of Allan Glen's School Club as to the general manner of application of the Trust Estate pursuant hereto and shall be entitled, but not bound so to consult in respect of any particular application. (b) To promote and advance the scholastic, social and material welfare of young people in full time education and in particular, but without prejudice to that generality, to do that by providing or affording financial and other support to those engaged in or in the provision of education with an emphasis on science and technology and/or with a view to the eventual attainment of engineering, scientific or cognate qualifications for such young people. (c) For the advancement of the physical education of young people under the age of 22 including those not undergoing formal education. (d) For the promotion of amateur sporting activities involving physical skill and exertion and facilities connected therewith for the benefit of the public. Maximum text reached.
