The organisation's purposes are: (a) To actively engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society. (b) To promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential as individuals, as responsible citizens, and as members of their local, national and international communities. (c) To provide safe and inclusive Scouting activities, programmes and opportunities in accordance with the Policy, Organisation and Rules (POR) of The Scout Association, including Scottish Variations. (d) To support and develop adult volunteers to deliver high‑quality Scouting within the community. (e) To promote equality, diversity and inclusion by encouraging understanding, participation and fair treatment for all members of the community. (f) To promote education and understanding of Sudanese cultural heritage, supporting its integration and celebration within the wider Scottish community.
