The aim Of the Group is to promote the welfare of older people in a way which could be said. either now or later, to be legally charitable. The Group does this by: Bringing together individuals and representatives of statutory,and voluntary organtsations. Making representations on behalf of older people and their carers . Making information available for, to and on behalf of older people and their carers. Encouraging training for those working with older people and their carers. Promoting and running appropriate services and activities. Helping (by voluntary and financial means), promoting or providing anything which will improve the quality and standard of any such services. Creating, encouraging and maintaining public interest by providing a link between any such services and the community,which they service.
