Ace Network Scotland, ANS

1. Provide support to members of the asexual (ace) community in Scotland. 1.a. The association supports persons of the ace community, who experience little or no sexual attraction. 1.b. The ace community includes anyone who fits into one or more of the following categories: 1.b.i. People who do not experience sexual attraction or a desire for partnered sex to the same degree or to the same frequency as most people around them do. 1.b.ii. People who do not consider themselves inherently sexual beings or as inherently sexual as most other people around them. 1.b.iii. People who are less interested in engaging in most or all sexual activities compared to other people around them. 1.b.iv. People who relate to the experiences and feelings of other people in the wider ace community. 1.b.v. People who do not relate to the experiences and feelings of sexual people, or who cannot connect with the sexual portion of the world around them. 1.b.vi. People who are questioning their sexual orientation and feel comfortable within the ace spectrum. 2. Enhance visibility of the ace community to other ace people, to the LGBTQIA+ community, and the wider public. 3. The promotion of equality for the ace community within the LGBTQIA+ community and the wider public. 4. The promotion of diversity within the ace community. 5. The advancement of education of the public in the issues of the ace community which is recognised as a community subject to social exclusion, marginalisation and disadvantage. 6. The establishment of further in-person ace meetup groups. 7. Connecting ace people with the wider ace community.
