About Zimcan Health Society
1. To build capacity in social determinants of health and community healthcare delivery (clean water food security education economic empowerment of women community health workers/midwifery/nursing) in zimbabwe and canada and working together to build capacity in both systems; 2. To work in rural district hospitals and rural health providers in canada on projects that build capacity in both systems and identifying opportunities for twinning services between canada/zimbabwe rural health service providers; 3. To work with the university medical schools and ministries of health on the delivery of healthcare in low resource settings like rural canada and zimbabwe (e.g. Family medicine postgraduate residency training in zimbabwe helping with preceptor development linking canadian and zimbabwean medical students); 4. To make gifts and provide financial support to 'qualified donees' as that term is defined in subsection 149.1 (1) of the income tax act rsc 1985 c 1 (5th supp) that will work with people to deliver health and wellness including addressing social determinants of health to provide healthcare delivery in rural canada and zimbabwe; 5. To receive donations gifts bequests funds and property and to link canadian and zimbabwean healthcare professionals educationalists researchers and community leaders in order foster and support bidirectional learning;
